On Friday morning we had an assembly to start off the year as we mean to go on! Everyone was welcomed back and the new Primary 1 pupils had their first experience of assembly. They listened so well and enjoyed participating in our singing.
Mrs McCombe then asked for a volunteer to come up to the front. He was challenged to peel an apple in one minute. After completing this task he was the challenged to put the peel back on. This proved very difficult and the apple certainly didn’t look the same.
Mrs McCombe reminded everyone the same can happen with our words, once we say something it can have a big impact on others, even if we are sorry. The boys and girls came up with lots of words we should try to use; positive words, kind words, encouraging words and mannerly words.
House points were awarded at the end of assembly and we look forward to seeing the impact of positive words in school.
