Remembrance 2024
**Remembrance Day at Our School**
On Sunday, 10th November, we were immensely proud of our P7 School Council Representatives, who participated in the parade and laid a wreath with respect and dignity. Their contribution was a fitting tribute to those we remember on this special day.
A special mention goes to two of our pupils who collaborated with the Ulster Scots Group to create poppies, which were displayed beautifully as part of our commemorations.
It was heartwarming to see so many of our pupils represented in various youth organisations during the event. Their exemplary behaviour was a credit to our school community.
On Monday, we held a meaningful Remembrance Service led by Mrs. McCombe. She explained the significance of Remembrance Day and played the 'Last Post' and 'Reveille,' creating a reflective atmosphere. Every child stood respectfully during the minute’s silence, and we left the hall quietly, mindful of those who have sacrificed so much.
Our youngest pupils in P1/2 also marked the day with special remembrance activities, ensuring even our youngest learners understood the importance of this occasion.
