As part of our KS2 Shared Education curriculum we are delighted to take part in the Pushkin Project. This is a creative and environmental project founded by Her Grace, The Duchess of Abercorn. On Thursday P6/7 children from Kilrea PS and St. Columba’s travelled to Baronscourt Castle, the late Duchess’s home. Here they enjoyed an environmental tour of the estate, found out about the native trees and shrubs and learned about local insects and mini beasts. They had the opportunity to take part in workshops in music and creative writing.
