On Tuesday 28th November, 31 enthusiastic parents and friends attended our wreath making evening. Andy McClarty demonstrated how to create a grave wreath and a door wreath. Then everyone got stuck in and showed off their artistic flair.
Without a doubt, the wreath making was of a very high standard and Andy was on hand to give his advice and assistance throughout the evening.
Afterwards, everyone went to our ‘candle lit’ canteen for some savoury and sweet treats, kindly served by the PTA. A beautiful Christmas Planter and Wreath was donated by Andy, so two names were pulled out of the hat and Judith and Irene went home with more than they bargained for!
We are so pleased to announce that after our cost for the evening we were able donate £500 to MacMillan Cancer Support and £500 to our PTA funds, which will cover the cost of the buses to our Pantomime and reduce our ticket price!
Christmas has arrived at Kilrea Primary School. Sincere thanks to Andy, the PTA and staff who put in so much effort to ensure this evening was a success.
