Primary 6/7 had a brilliant day visiting the Salmon Farm in Bushmills. Earlier in the year they had salmon eggs in their classroom and they could observe their growth. These eggs were returned to the Fish Farm and we were able to see how they have grown and how they are reared.
We were able to view the salmon in their tanks and note how they look different at each stage. This was followed by a river walk, river dipping and observing the food that the salmon feed on. Many thanks to Steven for a brilliant morning.
To finish the day off we ate our lunch at Portballintrae before returning to school.
