Marconi Messages
27th Sep 2022
P5 had a lovely morning in Ballycastle learning all about the history of communication and the role the town played in the early development of Marconi's radio. Organised by Causeway Coast and Glens Council, Museum Services and led by the W5 learning team they tried out string telephones and semaphore flags before creating circuits and sending messages by morse code. They learned that radio waves are all around us and how our modern means of communication are only possible because of the experiments of these early inventors.
