P6&7 had a very useful and important afternoon, with Geraldine, from The British Red Cross. The children all had the opportunity to learn basic first aid skills to deal with the following medical emergencies:cuts, seizures, asthmatic attacks,choking, burns or dealing with an unresponsive patient who’s not breathing. They were also given the chance to learn and practice CPR. Finally the boys and girls were taught how to use a defibrillator. All in all a great set of skills to have been taught.
