On Tuesday P1&2 boys and girls were delighted to welcome Miss Coyles Year 1 class from St Columbas for a shared education play session. Our theme for the morning was all about eggs. We read the story of Dora's chicks together and then went off to explore the variety of egg activities. We sorted coloured eggs with tongs, fished them out of some barley and we tried to build a nest for some little chicks out of duplo and a hen house out of foam bricks. We made hand print chicks, traced around egg patterns and made some Easter cards with shapes. We rolled eggs down our tubes and did some bunny hops. After a little Easter snack we went outside for an Easter Egg hunt and had a special delivery from our own Easter Chick. Everyone had lots of fun and look forward to meeting up again.
