On the 80th Anniversary of D-Day P1&2 boys and girls found out about the different types of transport that the troops used during the battle. We looked at some of the ships and found out about the ducks that could travel on land and water. We saw pictures of different types of planes and watched the Parachute troops landing in France. Our favourite type of transport was the big tanks and we had lots of fun painting pictures of them and making some from junk materials. We used some of our toys to make tanks and we even made a battlefield scene with our tank coming through the trees and the soldiers walking beside it.
We all decided that the men who fought in the war were very brave.
