Today all the boys and girls had a fantastic presentation from the Dogs’ Trust. Paula came along from the charity and told everyone about the work of the Dogs’ Trust and how to be safe around dogs. We learned how dogs use their senses and how we as humans should behave around dogs in lots of situations. P1/2/3 learned the Happy Dog Rules”. Some important pieces of advice which Paula gave to P4/5/6/7 were, firstly always give a dog space when it’s eating, drinking, or chewing something. Secondly, if a dog runs towards you, “Stand still, Stay quiet!” We also discussed safe activities to do with our dogs and to remember a Dog is for Life.
